My passion for saving animals started when I became vegetarian at 8 and then vegan at 14. I have a huge spot in my heart for helping those that cannot help themselves. That is why I decided to start an animal rescue. It’s extremely hard work, but it’s all worth it when you see an animal go through so much and they finally end up as part of a loving family. I have a cat and a dog of my own, in addition to the more hard to work with fosters.

In the summer of 2016 I adopted my best friend and sidekick, MacGyver, from Rescue Gang. After falling in love with him I knew I had to give back to the amazing rescue that saved his life and brought him into mine!

I’ve always been the type of person to advocate for those who can’t advocate for themselves. Working with animals is advocating for the most helpless. Being a part of an animal rescue isn’t just a hobby, it is a passion.
I wanted to be the voice for those who can’t speak for themselves. Rescue Gang allowed me the opportunity to not only be a voice, but also a part of the wonderful journey these poor shelter animals go on. The emotional rewards of seeing these poor abandoned and often abused animals find a forever home filled with love completes a missing piece of my life.
From the time I was a little kid, my souls has always had a special loving place for animals. Seeing all the abuse and destruction I decided to join an animal rescue to help make this earth a better place for those that don’t have a voice. Joining Rescue Gang has been the best decision I could have ever made, knowing I’m making a difference makes it worth waking up every morning, not to mention seeing all those happy fosters in my home waging their tails keeps me smiling. They saved me as well.
“When I’m not designing in an office, I’m making Rescue Gang look good! I specialize in newspaper ads, flyers, brochures, and whatever Rescue Gang may visually require of me. When I’m not at it with the graphic arts, I highly enjoy yoga and cooking up a storm. I also have two fur babies of her own at home, which happily sit on my lap and keyboard to “help out.”
